Mayor Tarred and Feathered in effigy over property taxes

Hoboken, NJ -- City residents are rising up against the government over property taxes which have risen 47% in four years.

One resident, Brian Wagner, said"When I moved here four years ago, my taxes were $7,200. This past December they jumped to $12,000. I'll say it again: $12,000," and added "That's for a 1,000 square-foot, one-bedroom condo!"

City taxpayers are demanding the city cut its budget and lower taxes. They are threatening to Recall the Mayor and City Council if taxes are not cut.
